Our mission
Fresh Life Produce is on a mission to decentralise the African food system, empowering individuals, communities and corporations to contribute to improving education, health, well-being and economic growth across the continent.
Our story
Fresh Life Produce was established in 2016 to empower food-insecure communities to grow their own food, become self-sufficient, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Africa.
We designed The African Grower and are establishing blueprints for the implementation of agricultural development programmes and training, accelerating the work of Corporations, Foundations and NGOs in this area.

Young Mandelas 2024
We’re proud to share that Fresh Life Produce Founder and CEO, Louis-Gillis Janse van Rensberg, has been selected as one of News24’s Young Mandelas, in the innovation category.
News24 highlighted the invention of the African Grower, and our work with Handpicked’s agri-skills development programme, as a “testament to his commitment to Mandela’s legacy of transformative change.”
